The brief
What we were asked for
Sell printed products that do not have fixed SKUs. The customer chooses a substrate and size, uploads artwork, and needs a price immediately — while the studio needs a production-ready file and spec attached to the order.

- Pricing depends on area, substrate, finish and quantity, not on a product code.
- Customer artwork arrives in every format and quality imaginable.
- Orders had previously been agreed by email, which meant re-keying and disputes over spec.
What we built

Configurator with live pricing
Substrate, dimensions, finish and quantity feed a server-side pricing engine so the customer sees a real price before committing.

Artwork upload and validation
Files are uploaded, previewed and checked against the chosen size, so the studio receives something usable with the order.

Order to production
Each order carries its full specification and artwork, removing the email thread from the process entirely.

Search-ready product pages
Structured data, fast image delivery and content built around what customers actually search for.
The outcome
Where it got to
- Quotes that used to take an email exchange now happen on the product page.
- Production receives a complete, unambiguous job with the order.
- The catalogue can grow into new substrates without a rebuild.
