Service

Managed hosting for websites and applications

We host what we build — deployments, backups, certificates, monitoring and patching, all handled.

Racked servers with status lights in a data centre

Hosting is where a lot of good software quietly goes wrong: a certificate expires, a database fills up, a dependency goes unpatched for a year, and nobody notices until customers do.

We run the hosting for the sites and platforms we build, on managed cloud infrastructure with containerised deployments, persistent databases and automated backups. Deploys are repeatable, rollbacks are one command, and every service is monitored.

It also removes the finger-pointing. When the same team writes the code and runs the infrastructure, nobody is waiting on a hosting company to admit fault.

What you get

What managed hosting includes

Every engagement covers the same ground. Nothing here is an optional extra we spring on you halfway through.

01

Containerised deployment

Every release built from a Dockerfile in version control, so what runs in production is exactly what was tested.

02

Automatic backups

Scheduled database and media backups on persistent volumes, with restores rehearsed rather than assumed.

03

SSL and custom domains

Certificates issued and renewed automatically, including wildcard subdomains for multi-tenant platforms.

04

Uptime and error monitoring

Health checks and error alerting so problems reach us before they reach your customers.

05

Staging environments

A separate environment that mirrors production, so changes are proven before anyone else sees them.

06

Security patching

Dependencies and base images updated on a schedule, with urgent advisories handled out of cycle.

Is this you?

This service is a good fit if…

  • You want one number to call when the site is down
  • Nobody internally is confident about backups or restores
  • Your platform needs custom domains for each customer
  • You need a staging environment and do not want to run one
  • Your current host cannot tell you why anything happened

Questions

Managed hosting FAQs

Including what it costs and how long it takes.

How much does managed hosting cost?

A brochure site is typically £15 to £35 a month. A database-backed application usually runs £45 to £150 a month depending on traffic and resources. Platform-scale hosting is quoted on usage. Infrastructure cost is passed through at cost with a clear management fee on top.

Do you host sites you did not build?

Sometimes. We will review the codebase and infrastructure first — if it can be deployed reproducibly and patched safely we are happy to take it on, and if it cannot we will say what would need to change.

What happens if the site goes down?

Monitoring alerts us automatically. Most incidents are resolved by rolling back to the previous known-good release, which takes minutes. You get a written explanation afterwards, not a shrug.

Where is the data hosted?

On EU or UK regions of managed cloud infrastructure by default, which keeps UK GDPR straightforward. If you have a specific residency requirement we will match it.
