The brief

What we were asked for

Park owners were choosing between expensive legacy booking systems and a paper diary. The brief was software that costs nothing to adopt, earns its keep from the bookings it generates, and handles the awkward realities of pitch availability.

The challenge

What made it difficult

The constraints that shaped every decision after them.

  • Pitch inventory is not hotel inventory — length, hook-up, awning space and unit type all constrain what can go where.
  • Parks take bookings by phone and at the barrier as well as online, and every one of those has to hit the same availability calendar.
  • The commercial model had to work on all bookings, including manual ones, without the software becoming a policing exercise.
  • Owners needed to keep their own brand and their own domain rather than sending guests to a marketplace.

What we built

How we solved it

The decisions that mattered, and why we made them.

01

A real availability engine

Pitch types, dimensions, facilities and blackout rules resolve into a live calendar that will not sell a 7-metre pitch to an 8-metre caravan.

02

Every booking channel in one ledger

Online, phone and walk-in bookings are recorded the same way, with manual commission records so the books balance regardless of how the guest arrived.

03

Modular pricing

The base platform is free; each additional module adds a point of commission up to a hard cap, so a small park pays a little and a large operation still knows its ceiling.

04

Park-branded storefronts

Each park gets its own subdomain and can bring its own domain, so guests never feel they have left the park’s own website.

The outcome

Where it got to

  • Owners can adopt the system with no upfront cost and no licence negotiation.
  • Availability, pricing and payments live in one place instead of a diary and a card machine.
  • An offline desktop companion keeps the park trading when the connection drops.
